Donna Pinkston

I graduated from Hoxie High School 1976.  Graduated from Freed-Hardeman College Henderson Tennessee 1980 with BSE in Health and Physical Education K-12.  I  began my masters in 1987

Received my maters in counseling and elementary education plus 15 hours in 1992.

I teach College Psychology in the Fall and College Sociology in the Spring 3rd period.

I have taught at Hoxie School for 38 years.

The subjects I have taught include Remedial Math -Elementary, elementary P.E., reading 2nd grade, health 7-12, PE 7-12, College Psychology 11-12 and coached Volleyball, basketball-elementary, track 4-12, Counseling-K-12.

In 2014-2015 I was honored in being selected by my peers across the state of Arkansas as the High School Counselor of the Year.

I have been married since 1987 to Mike Pinkston (class of 1975) who is the technology director at the Lawrence County School District. 

I have 3 children-Steve (class of 2001) has 4 children 3 daughters Kiley, Izzy, Abby and 1 son Eli. Steve is a surveyor in Jonesboro.

 Stephanie (class of 2002) who is married to Jeff Greer and has 3 daughters Kady, Nadia, and Piper .  Stephanie is presently teaching 3rd grade at Hoxie Elementary. 

Mya is also my daughter and is in 10th grade at Hoxie High School.
